• profileMy name is Rachel Anne. I'm 19 years old and I attend Michigan State University as a Freshman, but soon to be Sophomore in the fall. I'm single but not looking. I enjoy many things, such as acoustic guitars, long handwritten notes, getting mail, little schoolgirl crushes, acting like a child, reading, Facebook, and many others. Things I tend to dislike are heartbreak, arrogance, backstabbers, losing frienships, peanuts and most other "bad" things. & more?

Officially SUMMER!

Finals went well. I just can’t believe my freshman year at MSU is over. It’s unreal how fast time flies. It was an amazing year. I met so many wonderful people and had to say good-bye to some, the graduating seniors. They told me that my college years will go by faster than high school, which makes me sad because high school flew by way too fast. I do see what they mean; I can hardly believe I’m already a Sophomore in college when I feel like just yesterday I was only entering! My sister is coming to join me next school year. It will be so different for her, and so weird for me that she’ll be up there with me. I plan on not taking her out for the first couple of weeks only because I’ve been in her position with my roommate…I think the most bonding I did was with Danielle was during our first week of college, because we didn’t know anyone else but each other. It forced us to go out and make friends, and gave us an opportunity to bond with each other. When we were in high school, my sister kind of “leeched” on to me and became friends with my friends and had it easy. It was never a bad thing, I just think she needs the full college experience of going out and meeting new people and being scared and paranoid and overwhelmed all at once. Then, at the end of her freshman year, she can look back and think, “Wow, I was such a naive little freshman.” :-) I remember the first night of college, I went out with my roommate and some high school friends looking for a college party, LOL. We got lost walking around, found a frat party but were definitely super awkward and scared and shy, standing in the corner. Everyone there could point out easily who the freshman were. We ended up leaving early and did nothing, walked back at 3AM and thought to ourselves, “OMG it’s 3AM and we’re outside, teehee, we’re so rebellious! I bet our parents think we’re sleeping hehehe!” (lol not exactly but you get the point) I look back now to the beginning of the school year and remember how big everything seemed, how scared I was of the older kids…and now I laugh at myself. I want her to be able to do the same :)

Now that it’s summer, though, I’m excited for PRANK WARS! Every summer, all of my friends and I do pranks on each other and keep going back and forth to get everyone back. It’s so much fun. Today, my friends Judith, Ben, and I officially started the prank wars. We saran-wrapped someone’s car, sticky-noted another person’s car, and maxi-padded another. Haha so harmless but hilarious at the same time. What’s funny is that if you play it cool, the victim will suspect it’s someone else and prank the wrong person. I love it! :P

My high school started “Water Wars” today and it was definitely very interesting. It was student organized, too! You submit teams of 5 for $20 per person, and the rules of the game are basically like the game Assassin, except with water. You basically stalk other teams and have to “kill” them with water somehow using your “weapon” of choice (water balloon, water gun, etc), which you keep with you at all times. For instance, if I was in the game and walking out of the mall, and someone saw me, they can shoot me with their water gun and if it hits me, I’m out. There are designated “safe spots”, like work and school, and “kills” are only valid during certain times of the day…I believe on weekdays from 4pm to 9pm and weekends from 12pm to 12am. And everyday, at least 2 people from your team must be outside of the house from 4-7pm, and on weekends from 1-6PM, and 7-9PM. It’s crazy, but interesting because when I went to hang out with someone playing today, they were so paranoid and it was hilarious. I would have loved to be a part of this if I came home in time for signups. Oh, and the winning team wins all the money…this year it’s $2500 because there were 25 teams! If that’s incentive. That’s $500 per person. O.O

Congrats on summer Rachel. “Throws confetti” I’m sorry your freshman year is over though. Thats really nice that you let your sister tag along with your friends in high school. You seem like a great sister. Prank wars sounds so much fun. Water wars! Your high school actually seems like fun. Maybe I should transfer to your high school. LOL.
