I, unfortunately, have seemed to neglect my site. However, this is not the case. I know—I’m a whole bunch of sorry excuses. But I really will get a new layout and updates up as soon as I can. I am horrible.
Also, I have a plethora of new hostees that I will plug as soon as I update. They are wonderful.

Today I said goodbye to Jon. He’s going to Chicago for the weekend for Lollapalooza, and when he gets back, I’ll be gone for Europe. It was quite sad, actually. We spent the whole day doing nothing with Ryan. Then we threw a bonfire for my friend Ike’s birthday, and Ryan and I made a cake! It was delicious. :b When i had to go, I dropped Ike and Jon off at home, and Jon was pretending to be jealous of Ike and just…got out of my car without saying goodbye. I waited in the car, and then as he was walking towards me, I jumped out and ran up to him, he picked me up and gave me a long hug and kiss. I ran back to the car to leave, and he stood out in the middle of the street so I wouldn’t move. Then he ran to my window and said, “I’m going to miss you so much. I can’t imagine 2 weeks without seeing or talking to you,” and kissed me again. It was sweet. I’ve been packing for Europe as well. I really have no clue what to bring, and we’re not supposed to bring huge suitcases (which is something I do every trip lol). Though I’m excited, I’m kind of sad at the same time. I’ll miss everyone a lot. I know my friends aren’t going anywhere and that Europe isn’t something I can do everyday, but still. I feel like everytime I go somewhere, I miss something important and a lot of people change. In a way, I’m kind of scared of that.
Honestly though, I don’t really have much to say.
I converted to FanUpdate (finally) due to the security risks that Cutenews can bring. It’s very spiffy—I like it a lot better than Cutenews, I think. I also put up a new layout, because I was kind of getting sick of the old one. I think I’ll have this up until I come back from Europe.

SO sorry guys, the comments STILL do not work. It would be really cool if you could leave messages in my cbox….I’ll get back to them as soon as possible. Unfortunately I don’t have time to be fixing this anytime soon because there’s an out of control party at my house that I have to watch and…

EDIT: I am so sorry about the comment thing, guys. Cutenews crashed last night and pissed me off in the process. Comments are now working again as I had to reinstall the whole thing. I’ll return Cbox comments right now, though. Sorry again!
For those of you who don’t know, I own a non-profit organization/foundation called The Children’s Watchtower. Basically, what we do is try to help less privileged kids in the city and other neighborhoods, and get kids in MY neighborhood to become active in volunteer work. Well, our first project is a Free Summer Lunch Program for kids in Detroit. All I can say is that working with these kids has become the greatest experience. They’re so cute and wonderful and better dancers than me. Haha! But in all seriousness, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so good. It’s just a great feeling to know you’re doing something that is influencing kids. My mom asked a little girl what she wanted to do when she grew up, and she responded by saying, “I wanna help people….like Rachel!” That really touched me.
Well, today was interesting. My sister’s boyfriend and I drove down to see my boyfriend, Jon, because it was our four months, which I mentioned previously. (My sister is staying with my Aunt because she’s not getting along with my parents right now.) I don’t think I mentioned that Jon lives an hour away. It’s amazing how much time, gas, and money we invest in each other, but we’re willing to work thorugh it. It’s SUCH a long drive, though. 
We hung out at Jon’s house and watched “That 70’s Show” and “Talladega Nights”, but I noticed he was being really distant and weird. Then, we got in the car and headed to the park. I was swinging by myself and Jon was climbing a tree? haha, when he came over and talked to my cousin and me. We were talking about anniversaries, when all of a sudden, Jon looked at me all accusingly and poked me in the shoulder and went, “By the way…happy four months. YOU forgot!” and I was like, “WHAT?! NO WAY! I thought YOU forgot.” And we just kind of looked at each other and laughed, and he admitted that he was waiting for me to say it at his house, which explains the distance and everything. “I was going to sing you another song, but nooo, you had to ruin it.” Oops :(
After, we went to Taco Bell and then to the mall for the Asian Store, which we’re all obsessed with. And yes, the name of the store is actually “The Asian Store”. I hung out with my cousin’s friends later on in the night. We felt like rebels as we crossed areas that said No Trespassing. Ooh, we’re so bad! Haha, not really. x]
Now I have a few questions for YOU ;)
1. Is your summer better or worse than what you thought it would be?
2. Do you do any volunteer work? If not, do you want to? If so, how does it make you feel?
3. What do you miss most about your childhood?
